A little place called home

Remember that one time I said that we were resigning our lease for another 7 months (the minimum amount) in September because we didn't find a house we liked enough to buy.....Well that happened and it was supposed to be up June 1st. Then my mom got this brilliant idea to go on a beautiful sunny sunday afternoon to the parade of homes in Olathe and see some houses (with Taylor in tow) that were in our price range.
Then we found a house we fell in love with.
The kind you say " Oh wow!" when you walk in.
The way I felt about my wedding dress.
That kinda feeling. and then the wheels started turning. Can we get out of our lease? Do we need a realtor? Is someone going to get this one before we could sort everything out and make an offer? Who do we use as a lender? Do we have enough money for a down payment right now? Is this the right time in our lives?

And God, the faithful God he is....Answered! and not in a few months or weeks or days even, in minutes all the planets lined up and the answer was clear as crystal.

1)My maid of honor and best friend's mom had facebooked me the day before in response to our "yay parade of homes day is tommorrow" kinda post that she would be happy to be our Realtor if we needed one.
2) We scheduled an appointment to meet with the realtor selling the house, and showing up early like I always do, we met with another realtor that was sitting in the model home for the neighborhood. He turned out to be a good family friend's son. (who in turn told the guy we were supposed to meet with to take good care of us).
3)Tthe Lender our realtor suggested we use turned out to be the husband of one of my mom's friends.
4) The money situation all worked out.
5) The builder of this beautiful new home just happens to OWN our apartment complex and already wrote a letter to get us out of our lease with no strings attached.
6) we made the offer, they accepted.

AND HERE WE ARE!!

This is our gorgeous house.
It's 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths with an unfinished basement that we will finish when we have time/money.

My Amazing kitchen, the doors are garage and closet, the pantry is behind the wall the stove and microwave are on. and the dining room is the room to the left. I am standing in the living room and the door is directly to my left.

I am standing in the same spot just turned 90 degrees to my left. The front door, stairs, basement door, and powder room to the left of that.

Standing on the landing of the stairs. The living room is down to the right, dining room to the left.

There will be more pictures later but I will leave you with this... .MY CLOSET! you can see the top of the door, which is a normal size door, the ceilings are about 15 feet high. And this is just my side....

So Thank you all who have congratulated us already and please pray for a smooth, quick and easy transition into our new home. We will be having a super fun house warming party as soon as we get settled and anyone who wants to come help us move the first week of December.... We will feed you pizza!!
