Ok lets see where did we leave off? Ahh yes....my control issues. Well duh, I am still stuggling with that but I am doing better the last few weeks, perhaps because of lots of prayer for my sanity lol. Yes I do think it is.
We have been busy as bees lately. Lots has gone on in the Smith household, first thing is first!
1) MY BIRTHDAY!! Woot woot!! I love me some birthday madness. Sadly there were no decorations this year, probably because of the business of everyone lately, buzzing around here and there, working crazy hours and such, Erika not being home ect. I must admit I usually decorate for myself but this year there was none of that, my birthday snuck up on me. The big TWO-FIVE! ahhh I'm a quarter of a century, and for the first time I kind of feel old. In a good place in life kinda old though, I'm married to the man of my dreams and lucky for me, he's married to the woman of his. HA! We have a cute little apartment and great jobs and great family and friends. I'm blessed. We are blessed. We did however have gluten free cake! YUMM not as good as the real deal but to skip the stomach ache makes it taste so good and it had normal chocolate frosting on it. We went to O'Neills with my parents and celebrated me and Taylor's birthday together. My mom and I went antique shopping and found some treasures. One of which is our new 6 foot long buffet height white antique dresser. I am in love. I need to find cool new knobs for it thought...to be continued, pictures will come soon. Then saturday (my actual birthday, the 16th) Taylor and I went to Kyoto which is a japanese resteraunt for lunch, He got filet minon and I got chicken shrimp and we shared. It came with fried rice, salad, and onion drop soup. Then we picked up the dresser in Taylor's truck and took it home and then went to the aquarium. It was pretty sweet because we know I love me some fishies, we got to play in the touch tank and such but it wasn't worth the $20 each to go more than once a year or two. I made a video that I will post soon when I add pictures to this post.
2) Father's day!-- We celebrated with Taylor's dad in the afternoon and hung out with them and then went to my parent's house for their "golf party" to watch the US open, had some yummy food, leftover birthday cake and exchanged gifts.
A fun weekend to say the least....
and now, us busy bees are onto a new adventure! We leave thursday to drive all day (13 hours to be exact) to detroit! Well a suburb of it called Northville for my cousin David's wedding. I love his new fiance so it will be a blast, not to mention the rest of my awesome family will be there! So fun. Taylor and my mom and I are shipping off at 5am on thursday. Prayers for our safety on the road please!!
