13 hours both ways in the car with me and Taylor and my momma. Despite being 145 degrees outside through the entire midwest, it was a blast! Even the car rides were fun.
Taylor's birthday was thursday. He turned 26!! woo hoo! He's a year older than me again (we have 12 days where we are the same age. I got up early and made him pancakes in the shape of a 2 and a 6.
We picked up my momma and we left all by 5:30am on thursday and drove all day. When we got there we met with my aunt and uncle and went to Chili's for dinner and pretty much just went to sleep.
Friday Taylor and I got up early and went to Dearborne, Michigan (about 20 minutes from our hotel) to go to the Ford Truck Plant and factory tour and the Henry Ford Museum. Taylor was in heaven, he had so much fun. The tour really was awesome we watched people literally build Ford F-150s right below us as we watched above from a catwalk around the plant. Talk about a well oiled machine. That is a smooooth process. We also got to see some old cars and learn a little bit more about the history of Ford and good ole Henry himself. We ate a terrible cafeteria lunch at the museum and then toured the Henry Ford museum. Lots of old cars, trains, planes ect including the original quadricycle (Ford's first idea for a car) and the first Model T. It's neat to say we did it but the plant tour was the cool part. We came back to the hotel and helped get things ready for the ceremony and had the rehersal dinner. They served Qdoba tacos and ice cream cake and we got to see all my cousins!
Saturday morning my mom and I decorated the arch for the ceremony and got ready for the wedding. We had lunch with some cousins and my aunt and my uncle and then got ready for the wedding. It was beautiful and so fun and sooo David and Staci.
Love this, he was sooo nervous.
Bridesmaids
Such a sweet moment
The Happy Couple
Three pretty sisters! My mom and my Aunt Mary and Aunt Betsy
The Beautiful Atrium of the church.
Sweet Sarah's little boy, (David's prayer partner Sarah)
And then as quickly as it started, it was time to go.
The reception was gorgeous in pale blue and silver and white. They had chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, yummy salad, corn, rolls and a DESERT BAR! It had smores station, slushies, lemon bars, brownies, cake, cupcakes, candy of all kinds, chocolate dipped pretzels, ect. My favorite part though was the irish dancers. Staci was an irish dancer when she was younger and had 5 girls she danced with perform at the reception in their full outfits. It was awesome!
Such a fun weekend!
Oops almost forgot...photo booth!!!
