I painted a cute little cupcake for our bathroom to match my candles because I needed something fun and festive and summery there.
I bought myself a new pillow for our couch in our summer decor colors (half off a hobby lobby, uh thank you)
Then I look outside in my backyard on saturday (the day before my birthday, when we were supposed to go to my parents for dinner to celebrate). And I see this sky! YIKES so I leave right then and try to beat the rain to my parents house. The sky opened up and it was a torrential downpour of biblical proportions. Like mulptiple inches of rain in minutes. I drove 40 on the highway the entire way there because I could bearly see and then at 75th and metcalf, I see this.....standing water! AHHHH worst nightmare!
Look at the waves in the lower left corner by the hood of my car!! I panicked. But I got through it and when I got there my mom had made me a cookie cake! It was worth it.
The next morning (my actual birthday) Taylor and I went and got donuts for breakfast. A rare treat.
And celebrated our father's. This is my stepdad Steve. I stole this pic off my sister's instagram bc it's hilarious.
He is modeling my grandma's new zoom glasses for TV watching.
This is her wearing them for real. We were at my parents golf party and had lunch.
Still kinda missing my dad but my mom made it all better by having everyone sing to me at the golf party and getting me a cupcake!!
And decorating her house for me!
We then went to Taylor's parents house and had yummy ribs with them and came home and Taylor poured me a bubble bath and this glass of wine! ha! (the bottle was almost gone, so he just gave me the rest)
Cora wanted in but I said no. Poor girl loves water.
It was a great birthday thanks to all the people around me that I love. THANK YOU!!
